How much does a website cost for a small business?

A brochure site usually runs 2,500–6,000 PLN, and a multi-page site with SEO 5,000–15,000 PLN. The price is driven by the number of unique page layouts, not the number of pages.

Why the page count barely matters

The first question in most enquiries is how many pages. It tells me almost nothing about the work. Ten pages built on one layout means designing and coding a single layout, then pasting content ten times. Three pages that each look different is three times the work.

When I quote, I count unique layouts: home, service page, a list of something, a single entry, contact with a form. Everything else is content.

What actually pushes the price up

A design drawn from scratch instead of a layout built on a proven system. The difference can be twofold and it does not always show up in results.

Content. If I write the copy, that is separate work with its own price. If you write it, you save real money, but you have to actually write it. This is the single most common reason sites sit finished and unpublished.

Integrations. A form that sends an email is cheap. A form that writes into the system you already use, pings Slack and adds a calendar event is development work.

Photography. A photographer is typically 800–2,000 PLN, but pictures of your own space and people do more for credibility than anything I can do in code.

Where saving money pays off and where it does not

Starting smaller pays off. A one-page site that works and collects enquiries is worth more than an elaborate site that has been in progress for six months.

Cutting corners on performance and code ownership does not. A site that takes four seconds to load loses people before they see anything. A site you have no access to ties you to one supplier for years.

What it costs with me

One-page sites from 2,499 PLN, multi-page sites with SEO from 4,899 PLN. Either way you get the scope, price and date in writing before I start, and the repository plus full rights after the final invoice.

I am looking for my first clients, so I offer 20% off in exchange for a reference and permission to publish a case study. That is a fair trade: you pay less, and I get something no amount of money buys when your portfolio is empty.

One thing to remember

Before you ask for a quote, count unique layouts rather than pages. And decide who writes the copy, because that is usually a difference of several thousand zloty and several weeks.
